Michael Holzmann in the newly created position of Vice President Maintenance and Engineering
Michael Holzmann is now Vice President Maintenance & Engineering at the H-Hotels Group, which is one of the largest privately run hotel companies in Germany. In the newly created position, the 51- year-old will take on the strategic direction of facility management and will be responsible for the technology department of the group's more than 60 hotels in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Budapest. “We have many existing hotels in our company, and at the same time we open three to four new hotels every year in Germany and abroad. With Michael Holzmann we are creating new structures in the area of maintenance and engineering and are driving forward its sustainable orientation so that we are increasingly conserving resources,” says Thomas Haas, CEO of the H-Hotels Group.
“Not a day will go by in our expanding hotel group without something being renovated, converted or newly built. The projects in the properties of the six hotel brands, which are located in metropolises and smaller cities, offer a variety of challenges that are exciting for me”, says Michael Holzmann, who studied civil engineering after training as a communications electronics engineer. As a consulting engineer, Michael Holzmann worked in specialist civil engineering and turnkey residential construction and planned and implemented sewage treatment plants. Thanks to his involvement in a research project, he is a specialist in facility management and geographical information systems.
The now 51-year-old was previously responsible for the areas of technology, housekeeping and catering as technical director or head of facility management with up to 220 employees in three clinic groups.
