Kay Mittelstraß is the new Cluster General Manager for the H-Hotels in Bayreuth and Nuremberg

The H-Hotels Group, one of the largest privately managed hotel companies in Germany, has appointed Kay Mittelstraß to the position of Cluster General Manager for the H+ Hotel Nuremberg and the H4 Hotel Residenzschloss Bayreuth with immediate effect. The 41-year-old takes over operational responsibility for the two hotels from Christine Schrodt, who has left the company.

"Kay Mittelstraß has made a name for himself in various management positions in the hotel industry. With this wealth of experience, Kay Mittelstraß will develop synergies between the H+ Hotel Nürnberg and the H4 Hotel Residenzschloss Bayreuth and strengthen the teams, which will work more closely together in future, especially during the Bayreuth Festival," says Thomas Haas, CEO of the H-Hotels Group. The Dresden native is predestined for this. "I worked for a hotel chain for 23 years, where everyone could help out in other departments if necessary. Since then, it has been important to me to support my employees in all positions and to work closely with our guests at the same time. Together, we are pursuing the goal of ensuring that more and more guests become regulars," says Kay Mittelstraß. The H+ Hotel Nürnberg is a superior hotel with 70 rooms, four conference rooms, restaurant, bar, beer garden and sauna. The H4 Hotel Residenzschloss Bayreuth has 105 superior rooms, a fitness and wellness area and a bar.

Kay Mittelstraß was General Manager at the Chocolate on the Pillow Group for the ibis Styles and ibis budget in Bayreuth. Kay Mittelstraß was also Hotel Director at the ibis Berlin Dreilinden and the ibis budget Berlin Hoppegarten. Prior to this, he held the position of assistant manager, reception manager and receptionist at various Accor Group hotels after completing his training as a hotel specialist at the ibis Hotel Lilienstein in Dresden.
