The H-Hotels Group team is now welcoming the first guests to the H4 Hotel Wyndham Paris Pleyel Resort as part of the Paris Games. It is the largest hotel to have opened in the French capital in the past 50 years. The group from Bad Arolsen in Hessen is thus continuing its European expansion. The hotel group's first hotel in France is located in the iconic Tour Pleyel, a building almost 140 meters high in the Pleyel district of Saint-Denis in the north of Paris. On 40 floors, there are 697 hotel rooms, a pool, a fitness area, an executive lounge and several gastronomic facilities including a sky bar on the top floor with a fabulous view over the metropolis. The new hotel also provides the region with a congress center of superlatives - it extends over 10,000 m2. Guests can reach the H4 Hotel Wyndham Paris Pleyel Resort from Charles de Gaulle and Orly airports in just 25 minutes and the center of Paris in 15 minutes.

“With the H4 Hotel Wyndham Paris Pleyel Resort, we are opening the largest hotel in our group to date. This flagship project will enrich the region just before the Games in Paris with an outstanding hotel and conference center that will offer guests unique highlights. Thanks to its strategic location between the Olympic Village and the Stade de France, our hotel is ideal for national and international business travelers as well as individual travelers,” says Thomas Haas, CEO of the H-Hotels Group.

697 rooms and a 10,000 m2 congress center

The 140-metre-high Pleyel Tower, named after a piano manufactory that was located on the site, is a striking building. Previously used as an office building, the building now houses 697 spacious rooms ranging in size from 21 to 129 m2 following a three-year renovation phase. The Axel Schoenert agency from Paris is responsible for the interior design. It subtly combines the industrial past of the Pleyel district with a contemporary aesthetic. Raw materials such as steel combine harmoniously with fine wood to create an authentic and modern atmosphere.

Some room categories include access to the Executive Lounge, which offers a unique view of the city center and landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower or the Sacré-Cœur Basilica from the 26th floor. A similar view can be enjoyed from the 38th floor, where the highest pool in France and the 192 m2 fitness area are located.

The hotel offers one of the largest convention centers in the Paris region. Covering an area of 10,000 m2, it has 16 meeting rooms with a total capacity of around 2,600 people. The 1,180 m2 plenary hall with an impressive ceiling height of eight meters provides the ideal setting for successful and special events such as car or product presentations. The meeting and event rooms range in size from 26 to 526 square meters - 14 of which offer daylight. “With the H4 Hotel Wyndham Paris Pleyel Resort, we are underlining that the metropolis is a first-class destination for meetings and conventions,” says CCO Christine Woll.

H4 Hotel Wyndham Paris Pleyel Resort with first-class sustainability certification

During the renovation phase, the building complex was certified in accordance with the globally applicable Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Methodology (BREEAM). The Tour Pleyel received an overall rating of “very good”, the congress center “excellent”. This globally recognized BREEAM assesses the sustainability of the entire life cycle of buildings based on nine categories - including energy efficiency, water management, greenhouse gas emissions, indoor air quality, use of sustainable materials and waste management. For example, a building management system automatically adjusts the LED lighting to the presence of people and the ambient brightness, while the air conditioning system adjusts the temperature to the occupancy of the rooms and spaces.

Gastronomically, the hotel presents itself as international and French

With a focus on regional and local products, the hotel also contributes to its sustainability concept in its gastronomic offerings.

On the first floor, chef Laurent Legat and his team spoil their guests in the restaurant “Le Pleyel” with modern cuisine from the various French regions. The restaurant “Le Marché Pleyel”, which is part of the congress center and represents the authenticity, diversity and conviviality of a French market, invites guests to experience French-international cuisine with its 380 seats. The breakfast restaurant “Le Chopin” offers homemade granola variations and typical French pastries as well as jams that are organically produced in Saint-Denis.

A special highlight is the sky bar “The Stage” with a breathtaking panoramic view from the top floor of the 40-storey hotel. In addition to an international selection of cocktails and drinks, the staff at the Skybar serve refined French interpretations of small dishes. The chef patissier also conjures up in-house delicacies, which can be enjoyed not only in the Skybar “The Stage” but also in the restaurant “Le Pleyel” and in the Executive Lounge.

The experienced team of 250 employees attaches particular importance to a highly service-oriented guest experience in all areas. “The commitment, energy and professionalism of my team inspire me,” says Lars Hallier, General Manager of the H4 Hotel Wyndham Paris Pleyel Resort, who has been managing the pre-opening phase on site since November 2023. “After the Paris Games in mid-August, our hotel will be fully open to the public and add a new dimension to the hotel scene in Greater Paris.”
